As this site is devoted to the written word, below are several examples of fiction and nonfiction written over the last few years.

Obviously this represents only a small part of my completed work, but we all have to start somewhere.

More writing is available in the hoopleton blog or in the archives section.

Otherwise, please feel free to snoop around and enjoy.

>> NOVELS

BANANA CHIP -- This is my latest novel, the first several pages of which are available in pdf format. The world is on the brink of destruction, who would have thought that it would go like this...

Suicide Notes -- A 2001 attempt at novel writing, first published in INPATIENT MAGAZINE soon after its inception. Only the first several chapters were ever completed.

>> ARTICLES

Food & Fidelity -- A 2002 article from INPATIENT MAGAZINE. Gender roles and the commodification of food. How Victorian ideals of the feminine and masculine continue to influence our advertising and eating habits.

Cool Media & the Virgin Mary -- An article I did for GAUCHE MAGAZINE back in the Summer of '05. It examines the role of technology, especially television and what Marshall McLuhan called the over-extensions of man, amid the backdrop of religious mania.

>> REVIEWS

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- A 5/2008 review of the fourth Indiana Jones sequel.

The Dark Knight -- A 7/2008 review of the Batman sequel. Although this is one of my shorter reviews, it gets to the heart of what is by all accounts one of the best films of 2008.

>> FILMS

Departure -- All right, this isn't exactly an article or story, but it is an indie film and I co-wrote the script. Follow the link to a trailer on youtube. For more info on the film go to inpatient artworks, a link for which is in the links section of this site.

Look for more articles and other writing coming soon.
